Melissa graduated from University College London and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore.
Prior to joining the law corporation, Melissa was involved in corporate and finance work in a London based firm. She also has experience in matrimonial matters.
Melissa heads the Corporate Services as well as the Data Protection, Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice Groups. She is also engaged in banking litigation, finance and fintech work. She acts for banks and borrowers on asset financing and has advised financial institutions on the structuring of new products and regulatory work. Melissa also regularly advises corporations on establishing a business presence in Singapore. Her practice in the area of corporate and commercial law includes the sale and purchase of shares and assets, joint ventures, shareholders agreements, distributorships, service agreements and employment matters. She has advised and assisted various clients on compliance with Singapore’s personal data protection law. Melissa is involved in both individual and corporate insolvency work. She is also engaged as Private Trustee in Bankruptcy in numerous cases.
Melissa sits on the Youth Business Affairs Committee of the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry. She is also on the board of TRDO (The Royal Dance-Off), a non-profit organisation formed to promote contemporary dance among the youths.
