Eugene is an Advocate and Solicitor of the Singapore Supreme Court with a unique blend of technical expertise and legal acumen. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, he spent several years in the Biotechnology and Semiconductor industries before transitioning to law.

Eugene completed his training in a leading law firm’s Intellectual Property (IP) practice, gaining hands-on experience under a Senior Counsel. He specializes in IP and Information Technology (IT) law, advising clients on IP registration, portfolio management, rights enforcement, and due diligence related to various commercial agreements.

He also spent a year as Assistant Director of Legal at a national HealthTech agency, where he managed the IP portfolio and provided legal guidance on IT contracting and innovative projects, including those involving Artificial Intelligence (AI). This diverse experience equips him to navigate complex legal landscapes effectively.

Eugene heads the Intellectual Property & Technology Practice Group. His practice extends to other legal areas, including technology, telecommunications, media, data protection, and consumer protection. Eugene is also adept in dispute resolution, helping clients achieve amicable settlements.
